As parents, we often wish our kids came with a handbook
Short of a guide but big on childcare, our au pairs can certainly lend a helping hand. Our au pairs undergo intensive training to ensure the best possible care for your children.
Au Pair training
Before an au pair joins your family, she is required to complete the GreatAuPair USA Training Academy. This is a 32+ hour program consisting of 15 courses with quizzes, assessments, and a final exam.
Most au pairs complete the training in one week. Each au pair must complete interactive scenarios, assignments, and pass each course's quiz and the final exam with a grade of 80 percent or better. Through their training au pairs gain valuable insight into the developmental stages of children so that they can confidently nurture the health and safety of children of all ages. Au pairs also learn about cultural differences, behavioral differences, American slang, and driving in the US so that they are prepared to care for children of all ages and easily integrate into your home.
Your great au pair will arrive trained and ready to handle the challenges and joys of caring for your children. Since our au pairs must complete their training before they leave for the US, we are able to fly au pairs directly to your city, which saves time and eliminates the usual added expense of up to $600 in airfare surcharges charged by most other agencies.
