SMS / Text Messaging Program
GreatAuPair USA sends recurring SMS text messages to host families who opt in during the Host Family application at www.greataupairusa.com. This page documents how host families provide express written consent to receive those messages.
How host families opt in
During Step 1 (Preferences) of the Host Family application, directly below the Mobile Phone field, the applicant sees the SMS consent checkbox shown below. The checkbox is unchecked by default and must be actively selected to opt in. Consent is never pre-selected, and providing a mobile number is never conditioned on agreeing to receive text messages.
